Are you dying to know?
Is your mind is boggled?
Are you wondering if I deserve a parent of the year award?
Okay are you ready for this?
Are you sure?
Get edema! Yah, seriously! Apparently it lights a fire under the family. Even hubby is helping. He is using my new Cuisinart to do the cheese and pepperoni. I was a little concerned and almost got up when I heard "is it suppose to do that?" I am trying not to get up and help and it is killing me. I hate others in MY kitchen. LOL! Hello my name is Kim and I have control issues.
So it's not as bad as last years incident, you can read about here- http://losingitlikealunatic.blogspot.com/2011/07/we-interrupt-lunatics-regularly.html
But taking it easy tonight as I have heart issues and just want to be careful. I am suppose to be making pasta. Luckily I made some pizza dough today so my daughter is making pizza. She works at a local pizza joint so it should be good. I'm just sitting her answering questions when she needs me.
My son ran up and rented Rango so we'll watch that as I chill with my legs elevated above my heart. A little tip is that after working out this week it really hurts the legs to hike them up like that. Lol! All kinds of pain happening right now. Anyhow he also scooted to the store for a few things we needed. So score for me.
It should be noted my kids are 22(son) and 17(daughter) so they are quite capable of helping. Yet somehow too old for Rango. But we're watching it anyway. I mean this is a family that goes to the theatre to see Ice Age for crying out loud. My kids are anomalies. They like hanging at home and spending time with us. I love it. I will cry like a lunatic when they leave home. Or move wherever they go. Like next door or something.
So instead of cooking tonight I am going to chill. Might do some blog hopping too. Take advantage of my down time. If you follow me and for some unknown must have been aliens from mars tinkering with my computer or something reason I am not following you, feel free to leave your link in the comments. I will hop on over and do a read/follow for you. I think I will hit twitter too, think there are some twits I have not hit yet on their blogs. Is twits the right word?
So while my little munchkin is good at making pizza she sucks at taking pictures of the food. Here's the thin crust she made me:
Don't tell Kiana but I think hers is better than mine.
See you all tomorrow. Or some of you tonight. I think I've added about 75 blogs tonight. And visited a couple dozen I already knew. The upside of swelling and being made to sit still. Lol.
Toodles and smoochies till tomorrow. xx
I hope you feel better soon... looks like your plan to get help from your family worked out just fine :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about your edema. Glad the pizza turned out good though! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Following you now!

Kim, thanks for the laugh! "Is it supposed to do that?" LOL! ARGH! You're like me, I am quite happy to putter around my kitchen by myself and I don't need any help thank you, but lucky you to have that help when you need it. I bet your meal was fabulous. :o)
ReplyDeleteKristen- Thanks. The fam rocked tonight.
ReplyDeleteMichelle- Thanks. Hopefully it doesn't last long. Glad to meet you.
Brenda- You are very welcome. I hate getting help, but today it was nice to sit back and watch the silliness. Good for them too so they feel independent. Best pizza ever. I made Kiana keep going back to get me more.rofl
Award is yours. For great tips.Mine is only 2 years old but will remember. And tx for making me laugh;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim Bee! I followed you from your comment: I am glad you like my blog. Yours is really nice too!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. The pizza looks awesome! I was looking thru my followers and I don't see you so come on over & check it out :) http://Andrea-thekitchenwitch.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteDzoli- Thanks. I knew I deserved it. lol. Aw, 2 is such a fun age. Enjoy every minute of it. I miss having little ones around.
ReplyDeletePolaM- Thank you.
Andrea- Thanks. She did great, I ate way too much. I went over and followed you. Not sure how I didn't have you. I didn't join any sites or anything for the first few months of blogging. Then around the 3,3 and a half month mark I finally put myself on some sites. But it went so fast with adds I think some got misplaced or not done. Trying to fix that this weekend. I am also doing it on twitter. My following increased but I know I have not looked at all their blogs. I like the idea of you follow, I follow. So I try but fail occasionally.
I sure hope you get to feeling better soon! And I'm so glad your kids helped out. That pizza looks delicious. I just love homemade pizza - and I don't make it nearly enough!!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome kids you have! So sweet! I hope you get to feeling better very very soon as we love our lunatic chef :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. The pizza looks like it turned out GREAT! How sweet of everyone to pitch in and takeover while mommy's out of commission for a while :)

Christina- Thanks. We make way too much pizza. It is pizza overkill at our house. Legs doing a bit better. Yeah!
ReplyDeleteDee- Hi doll. I am feeling a bit better already so should be right as rain tomorrow. Nice to see you! xx
Bri- I think they were thrilled about being able to take control of my kitchen and taunt me while I was laid up to be quite honest. I saw some questionable goings on and lots of giggling and whispering. It was very scary! Rofl!
Twits . . . that made me laugh. You seriously crack me up!
ReplyDeleteSeems so much better than the alternative which would be, well, not kind.
